The Exciting MS Dance Party!
Yesterday, on May 8th, KIS Student Council held a big MS event which is the Spring
Formal Dance Party. Any KIS middle school students were able to attend; dorm students were
required to participate whereas it was optional for day students. It happened at 6:30pm-8:00pm
in the MS Gym. The student council really prepared hard for this event, and all participants were
able to see their effort.
Every participant had to wear formal clothes such as suits for boy students and dresses
for girl students. There was a photo booth located in front of the gym, and students were allowed
to take photo in front of it as if they are superstars! There were lots of snacks, too, including
cakes, cookies, etc. It was really an exciting “party time” for students who need free time without
any academic things getting involved.
Yet, the highlight of the party were some wonderful performances. There were groups of
7th and 8th grade girls who performed dance, and the band group called ‘Garage Band’ formed
by some 8th grade students performed awesome pieces of music. Everyone enjoyed their
performances including performer’s friends, teachers, etc.
Many people are expecting for the Spring Party to become an annual tradition of KIS
middle school. It would be great if student council prepare this event every spring for students!
