Canadaaaaa!
Canadaaaaaaaaaa! From September 23rd all the ninth grade students from Branksome Hall Asia girls time traveled to Canada and came back on October 14th. All the students and teachers stayed in Canada with lots of pleasant. On the first week, at camp, Branksome ninth grade students got together and had a conversation about the three questions below. All the questions were the important part to think about and remind each of us to reflect the past and look forward to better future. The last question impacted me a lot and changed my thinking. I hope you could change your thinking like me when you are almost done with reading.
What does strong women represents?
Strong women. What will it mean? Does it mean women with lots of muscles and exercise every day? No, the strong that we were talking were all the Branksome girls. Girls who know who you are. Girls who can reflect the past mistake and build a better future. Girls who have confidence trying out for things that you want to. I think these are a good example of being a strong woman around the world. All the students in Branksome student thought this idea and we came up with one final definition for it, which is ‘being who you are’. In this one sentence, there are lots of meaning in it. We thought most of the women celebrity had their own ideas and changed other’s thinking by themselves. For example, like Malala, she said to the world that her community about girl's education was wrong and that needs to change even though lots of women were living what they needed to be. Now, what do think strong women represents on your own definition that you came up with?
What does “beauty” means?
“”Beauty” might be happiness but “Happiness” always bring beauty ”

The “beauty” is a problem to every teenage girl , no matter what country they belong too. All the female women all wants to be beautiful, in the way of how you look or in the way of how we think and act. While we were talking about the “beauty” inside our heart, having a beautiful mindset or thinking skills that include all the people around us and be strong women who value themselves more than anyone else. However, when we moved our topic to the “beauty”, way we look, we got lots of different ideas that we couldn’t understand each other. Most of the Canadian girls wanted to have a straight hair, black tanned skin and modest personality. But most of the Korean girls wanted to have a blond curly hair with a pure white skin and very active personality, which are actually opposite to each other’s idea. So, what I head learn was to spend more time on looking myself in the mirror, I will reflect myself what I been done like what Brilliant Pak said.
What is success?
Current days, lots of students think the “first” is the only way to be a success. Do you know why they think like this? Because the society made students be the first or else, that doesn’t mean anything, it only tells that you are not good enough. Large houses, lots of money, expensive cars, trendy cloths or bags are the objects that represent the success. When we talk about success, it is not a story about “dreams”, it is about being the “best”. However, the Canadian students do not think like this. They think success is a dream. It is a hope. It is what you want. When people said somebody had a successful life, it means he was a success on what he wanted to be. They do not look others. They only think about themselves and keep moving forward to the way that they want to go. And I think this is the right definition of the word, “success”. I hope not just myself; other students think like this and look forward to their dreams.
