BHA DP Theatre Performance <The Maids>

DP Theatre students cordially invite you to watch The Maids in Jeju city!

Dear Parents,

Grade 11 DP Theatre students at Branksome Hall Asia have been working on Jean Genet’s The Maids. First written in French in 1947, The Maids expresses the struggle of the oppressed with poetic text and intense themes.

DP theatre students have been putting enormous efforts to bring two miserable maids in 1947’s France to life. Not only are the students performing, but also they are in charge of set design, props, costumes, sound design and publicity. They have even sought to shed a cultural light on the characters and themes by translating some of the text into Korean.

The ticket cost is 6,000 won, however, with full confidence, I can guarantee that our show will be worth much more than 6,000won!
