Artificial Intelligence vs. Human Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has raced forward in the last few years, championed by a libertarian, tech-loving and science-driven elite. Although the brain-computer metaphor has served cognitive psychology well, research in cognitive neuroscience has revealed many important differences in between human brains and AIs.

Human intelligence is something natural, no artificiality involved. In all fields, intelligence is something differently perceived and differently acquired. More specifically, human intelligence is something related to the adaption of various other cognitive processes in order to have specific environment.

Artificial intelligence is designed to add human like qualities in robotic machines. Its major function is to make the robots a good mimic of human beings. In short we can say that it’s basically working to make robots a good copier of humans.

By combining both definitions from the tunnel of technology, we can say that human intelligence works naturally and make up a certain thought by adding different cognitive processes. On the other hand, artificial intelligence are on the way to make up a model that can behave like humans which seems impossible because nothing can replace a natural thing into an artificial thing.

One of the vital differences between human and artificial intelligence is in the way of information are handled and processed. Artificial intelligence relies on algorithms and programmed systems in order to perform tasks that normally need human intelligence. These tasks can include speech recognition, problem solving, visual perception, and language translation. Artificial intelligence operates within a specific set of parameters in order to make decisions and simulate human behavior.

On the other hand, human intelligence functions like the human mind itself. Its algorithms have the capability to learn from data automatically and independently. Its parameters are wired to process large amounts of data, seek patterns, and make predictions, instead of just using data to follow and perform explicit instructions.
