Last Sunday, students from Branksome Hall Canada have arrived at the Branksome Hall campus to complete the second part of the Canada exchange program that is held annually for all Grade 10 students to participate.
In the assembly held on Monday 7th, students and faculty from BHC were welcomed by the orchestral performance and Dr. Beverley Von Zielonka’s speech. Teachers from BHA’s department of sciences introduced “Branksome X”, the science project the BHA and BHC girls will be working together to complete for the next two weeks of the exchange program. The aim of the project is to create the most efficient wind turbines for generating energy. Lastly, each BHA girl presented a Hallabong (Jeju’s orange-like fruit) to her Canadian buddy as a sign of friendship.
Both the BHA and BHC girls seem to be very delighted with their reunion since last January, when the BHA girls visited Canada for the first part of the exchange program. Everywhere in the BHA campus seems to be so lively with the BHC girls here. The girls chatter with each other and sometimes eat lunch together in the cafeteria.
Various events are scheduled during the BHC girls’ stay, including the Cultural Evening, walking along the Olle Trail, and attending the Fire Festival.
